Through the Legal Mutual 2006 Pro Bono Charity Golf Classic, held Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at The Bay Club, West Course in Berlin, MD, Legal Mutual and its corporate sponsors donated $8,000.00 to The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland at the 2006 Maryland State Bar Association Annual Meeting Welcoming Reception on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, held at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, MD.

This makes two years in a row that a new record of giving has been set by this tournament. The previous record gift set last year was $6,691. Third Place Winners with a score of 68! Rick Nazelrod, Dennis Classen, Brian McCurdy & Buddy Dyer	Bob Aguilar, Dick Phillips and Kay & John Kenny played to a final score of 71!
Stien Ovalsrud, Derrick Strupp, Phil Cronin & Alex Fritzsche played to a final score of 69.	Cleaveland & Margot Miller, Jim Kreider and Korky Onal finished with a final score of even par 72.
Matt Ballanger, Roy Norris, Rusty Teets and Bob Parker came in with an even score of 70.	Last place “Turkey” award winners with a score of 77! Paul Carlin, Walt Stewart and Randy Peters.  Any of us would kill to be able to shoot a true 77; however, it just doesn’t win much in a scramble tournament!

The threesome of Tom McNicholas, Pat McNicholas and Rob Joyce are apparently still lost out on the course.  They never made it to the 8th hole where our photographer was located and they never turned in a scorecard.  Either they’re still at the beer cart or they just didn’t want the dreaded last place “Turkey” award!
