Legal Mutual Welcomes Karen Saks Shrager, Esquire as its new Claims Council

The following announcement was distributed on June 22, 2005, as a Special Announcement e-mail from Legal Mutual.  We subsequently learned that AOL, who also distributes for Netscape and Compuserve, did not deliver this announcement to their customers which affected 475 of our subscribers.  We sent an inquiry to AOL as to why this occurred; however, to-date we have received no response.  We are repeating this announcement for those of you who were affected and have revised our delivery method in hopes of avoiding this problem in the future.

Karen Saks Shrager has joined the Legal Mutual team as Claims Counsel effective June 15, 2005. 

Karen received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Delaware in English Literature and Women’s Studies.  She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law.  Karen has such credits to her name as Golden Key National Honors Society and Sigma Delta Tau English Honors Society.

Karen’s past professional experience includes Wright, Constable & Skeen, LLP of Baltimore; DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis of Lanham; The Honorable Dana Mark Levitz, Circuit Court of Maryland for Baltimore County; and The Law Offices of Leonard J. Sperling of Pikesville.

Karen was admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2001 and was admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in November 2002.

She is replacing Mary C. Nevius who left Legal Mutual on June 17th to pursue an opportunity with the Maryland Insurance Administration.  Mary had been handling claims for Legal Mutual for slightly more than 10 years.  We wish Mary every success in her new career with the Maryland Insurance Administration.
